Mike Hussey told Grandstand he does not think Australia declared its second innings too early despite South Africa having shown its ability to chase down sizeable victory targets.
Australia set the Proteas 376 to win when it declared its second innings on 4 for 257 and the visitors reached 1 for 62 in their chase prior to stumps on day four.
The Proteas expressed surprised that Australia did not set a target in excess of 400 runs, a feat they have already achieved in the series when they reached 414 to win the opening Test in Perth by six wickets.

International Cricket Council (ICC) president David Morgan told Grandstand the Twenty20 version of the game should not be viewed as a challenge to the sanctity of Test matches.
